my grandma's dog, Moorchen

This cute little guy is gonna be my grandma's Christmas present this year (yes as you can tell I give a lot of handmade gifts). I made this dog to look like hers. I got the basic pattern for the dog from http://www.onnys-handarbeiten.md-power.net/thread.php?threadid=333&sid=9a0bb01b39a7c2f1408a289b90b7e992 a while back, so I can't guarantee the page is still available. I followed the pattern, but I made some changes to make the original pattern look more like my grandma's dog:

Ears:

Row 1: 8 chain stitches (ch), 1 ch to turn
Row 2: 8 single chrochet stitches (sc), 1 ch to turn
Row 3: 6 sc, 2 together, 1 ch to turn
Row 4: 5 sc, 2 together, 1 ch to turn
Row 5: 6 sc, 1 ch to turn
Row 6: 6 sc, 1 ch to turn
Row 7: 4 sc, 2 together, 1 ch to turn
Row 8: 3 sc, 2 together, 1 ch to turn
Row 9: 2 sc, 2 together, 1 ch to turn
Row 10: 1 sc, 2 together, 1 ch to turn
Row 11: 2 together

Tail:
I followed the basic instruction but made it a lot longer.

White spot:
Row 1: 40 ch, 1 ch to turn
Row 2: 40 sc
Rnd 3: 40 sc, 1 ch to turn
Row 4: 40 sc
In the middle of that spot I added 10 sc on either side to give it more body there.

Paws:I just took some of that white yarn and embroidered white spots on the paws.
Hope you enjoy!
