Contest results

Here is the finished version of what I showed you in the last post. As you can clearly see by now, I'm working on Iron Man! Stay tuned here to see the full results of this companion to Captain America. As far as results go, nobody attempted the contest and therefore there are no winners. However, there will be a new contest soon, so keep an eye out for that.
I'll see you all soon!

Mini Police Car

Hey there everybody!
I spent the last two days coming up with a little friend for the Mini School Bus. So let me introduce you to the Mini Police Car:
Just like the other one this is easy to make, small enough for little hands to play with, has no hard edges and only a few sewn-on parts. My daughter loves to play with this and the Mini School Bus. The pattern is available here.

I had so much fun coming up with this pattern, I really think I'm gonna do some more minis. They are just so fast and easy to make and such great toys! I'm thinking maybe ambulance, fire engine, maybe a boat too. We'll see what else comes to mind.

Also, I am still working on those two projects:

I guess I should really get back to them, too. I don't like having a bunch of unfinished stuff laying around, but at the same time I also don't really feel like working on them. LOL

Enjoy your weekend everybody!

Mini School Bus and announcement

Hey everybody,

I finally had a little time on my hands to come up with a new design. This time it's a mini School Bus. I like the big one I made, but it just is too many sewn on parts for me to feel comfortable letting my little one play with it. Also it is just too big for her to play with. So I decided to make a smaller, simpler version of the bus so my 6 month old daughter could play with it.
This one only has the wheels sewn on, everything else is just a changing of colors. Also it is a lot smaller and she can actually grab it and play with it. It is about 5 inches long and 3 inches tall. Perfect for her little hands.
Another benefit is that is is really easy to make. I reduced it to the minimum. The pattern is available at my Etsy store.
Also making this mini has given me the idea of making others just like it. What do you think about that? Would you like more minis or would you rather have the bigger more intricate ones?

I decided that from now on I will not only be selling the patterns, but also the finished dolls you can make from my patterns. If you are interested in having one made for you, please visit my Etsy shop and click on "Request custom item" on the left hand side. I will be happy to speak with you.

Hope to see you back soon!

christmas tree ornament - gingerbread man

Hello out there,
I finally got back around to crocheting a little bit. Here is what I came up with:
Isn't he cute? And he fits perfect on our tree. He's about 5 inches tall and in 3D. I am selling them, too. So let me know if you should be interested.
Also: any other ideas for cute Christmas tree ornaments?
I love how fast you can make these. It's so nice to start a project and be able to finish it the same day :) Really gets me motivated to do more. So hopefully you will hear from me more often in the future! :)

Another snowman and my first try at baby boots

Hello everyone out there!
Well I did work a little more since my last post.
I finished another snowman so he can be given away as a Christmas present. I'm not sure how many more I need to make for this year, but I do know that I need a little break from making them.

Also, since our baby girl is due in about two and a half weeks I thought it would be nice to make her a cute pair of boots. (I stumbled upon a pattern while researching something else).
Either way, the pattern called for smaller yarn than what I have handy here, so I found some leftovers I had that were a little smaller than what was called for. Well...I finished one boot and it is only about 2.5 inches long! It looks tiny, so I looked up average baby's feet length and it turns out that they are about 3.5 to 4 inches long. So I abandoned this try and I will go for another one with my larger yarn. Wish me luck that this time it won't be way too large, lol. At least she can always grow into them if they end up being to big. :)
Also, now I get to choose any color I like pretty much because I have so many different ones. I think for now I will go with white soles and ... well I guess the color of the rest will be a surprise. So we'll see what happens this time!
I'll keep you updated.
